Background: Deep brain stimulation (DBS) has clear beneficial effects on motor signs in movement disorders, but much less is known about its impact on lower urinary tract (LUT) function. Objective: To evaluate the effects of DBS on LUT function in patients affected by movement disorders. Design, setting, and participants: We prospectively enrolled 58 neurological patients affected by movement disorders, who were planned to receive DBS.
