This chapter synthesises the key findings of this provocative collection of studies on storytelling. The chapter identifies the interactional storytelling practices uncovered using the approach of conversation analysis. Four key findings that serve to advance current understandings for supporting children, youth and second language speakers in the areas of story structure, participation frameworks and recipients, the role of resources in storytelling, and for interactional and intercultural competence, are presented. The ten recommendations guide professionals working with caregivers to inform teacher education and to support second-language learners
