There are three prominent methods of music education that have developed over the years to provide a systematic way to teach the skills necessary to be a successful musician. Each of these methods takes its name from the musician who created the system; they are called the Dalcroze, Kodály, and Orff methods. This project contains a brief outline of each of these three systems as well as an analysis of an original lesson plan based on each method. All three methods were developed in the 19th and 20th centuries and have been adapted to fit modern curriculum requirements in public schools.
