Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive form of adult brain cancer with a 5-year survival rate of <5%. In over 15 years, GBM has not seen an improvement in overall survival and therapy options despite extensive research efforts. With standard therapy of radiotherapy and chemotherapy with temozolomide (TMZ), patients often relapse within less than a year. EGFR is amplified in ~50% of patients diagnosed with primary glioblastoma (GBM) and has been a main focus for research into targeted therapy.
