Power control is essential to increase system capacity in wireless systems that use code division (CDMA) as the multiple access technique. Power control problem is divided into an inner loop and an outer loop power control. In this paper we assume that the outer loop system is working properly and we are focusing on the methods of inner loop power control. Fast power control is another name for this inner loop, since its purpose is to mitigate the effects of Rayleigh fading. We are simulating current generation of CDMA systems and IMT2000 system. We also proposing a new technique, which could be used in the future standards. Different methods are compared in a time-domain simulation of a CDMA/WCMDA link.http://khaledelleithy.org/Confe...
