Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vyhledáváním transkripčních motivů u nemodelových organismů. V první části je vysvětlen proces transkripce, pojem vzájemná informace a algoritmus využívající vzájemnou informaci. V druhé části je popsáno rozdělení metod vyhledávající motivy a příklady algoritmů. Třetí část obsahuje přehled databází transkripčních motivů. Praktická část obsahuje popis vytvoření datasetu pro nemodelový organismus, popis navrženého algoritmu a jeho otestování na datasetu.
