Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá studiem produkce 3D bakteriální celulózy pomocí bakterie Komagataeibacter xylinus za využití banánových slupek jako zdroje uhlíku. V teoretické části se zabývá porovnáním vlastností bakteriální celulózy a rostlinné celulózy, různými způsoby biotechnologické produkce bakteriální celulózy a jejím využitím. Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zjistit, zda je možné použít banánové slupky jako uhlíkový zdroj pro biotechnologickou produkci bakteriální celulózy. Banánové slupky jsou odpadním lignocelulozóvým materiálem vznikajícím například při výrobě přesnídávek anebo ovocných případně mléčných nápojů v potravinářském průmyslu.
