Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and nanosatellites are being deployed on a massive scale for industrial and research applications. In practice, these small platforms require the integrationof several compact antennas to cover the different needs in communication, navigation, or surveillance. The integration of these antennas is even more difficult as these platformsoften offer small ground planes. An original solution to provide directive radiation properties without a ground plane relies on the design of Huygens sources.
