International audienceIn any communication system, the receiver needs to know the timing information of the received signal to accom- plish demodulation. A particular type of UWB system is the one with pulse position modulation and time hopping spreading technique. In order to determine the resistance of the system to different attacks some methods of pa- rameters estimation have been developed, and some of the estimation problems are described in this paper. The methods for different parameters estimation, presented in this paper, have the purpose to give possible solutions in the problem of achieving synchronization and blind de- modulation.
