This paper looks at the functional inter-relatedness of relativization, nominalization and genitivization in Thulung Rai. It also compares the situation in Thulung with that in other Kiranti languages and examines to what extent the Standard Sino-Tibetan Nominalization Pattern (Bickel 1999) can be said to apply to these languages
