Geolingüística del futuro evidencial en las lenguas romances a principios del siglo xx

The morphological future tense in the Romance languages can express time, modality and evidentiality. The literature states that almost all varieties use this tense to denote inference or conjecture, but the data researchers use is based on their own introspection, as well as on literary texts. In this paper, I attempt to give an account of the validity of the morphological future tense at the dialectal level in all Romance languages at the beginning of the 20th century in order to determine whether its conjectural value was indeed possible at that time and to what extent it can be concluded that Romance languages possess morphological evidentiality.El futuro morfológico en las lenguas romances puede expresar tiempo, modalidad y evidencialidad. La bibliografía afirma que casi todas las variedades emplean dicho tiempo para denotar inferencia o conjetura, pero los datos que manejan se basan en la propia introspección, así como en textos literarios. En este artículo, pretendemos dar cuenta de la vigencia del futuro morfológico a nivel dialectal en todas las lenguas romances de principios del siglo xx con el fin de determinar si, efectivamente, su valor conjetural ya era posible entonces y hasta qué punto se puede establecer que los romances poseen evidencialidad morfológica
