This thesis conducts an intensive study on the reactive power and voltage characteristics of the active distribution network. Current voltage regulation methods and state of art researches are reviewed in the thesis. The challenge brought by distributed generation for distribution network voltage control is analyzed in this thesis and a corresponding solution is proposed. This thesis develops a coordinated control method of reactive power and voltage control in distribution networks with distributed generations.
