Collateral ligaments tensioning is a key achievement of Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA). This stage, which directly determines the postoperative knee joint function and the implant lifespan, cannot be standardised for all patients and highly relies on the surgeons experience and perception. Over the last twenty-five years, the design of instrumented knee prostheses has been accepted as a way forward to provide the surgeon with useful pre- and intraoperative assistance.
