Developing a new real estate business in Costa del Sol

The main objective of this thesis is to develop an efficient business plan for a new real estate business based in Costa del Sol, whilst documenting and explaining an information retrieval process. The targeted customers for the business are mainly Finns. The thesis describes all the facets analyzed that were considered to be part of the business plan. These include legal issues, registrations, licenses, customers, competitors, partners, location and financial aspects. This is a practice-based thesis. It includes both quantitative and qualitative research that processes, organizes and analyzes the acquired data. These data were acquired through different surveys, documents and content from different sources during Q4 2021. The main goal of this thesis has been achieved. I was able to identify not only the different aspects to consider when creating the business, but the potential demand for it as well. This was all done by analyzing potential customers’ needs and competitors’ operating methods. The thesis also provided useful information for developing a strategy for the planned business, such as ways to differentiate the business in an otherwise very competitive market
