In the photographic project “When we are gone”, I have invited nature into the creative process. A personal reflection describes the background of my interest in images, my sources of inspiration and specifically my engagement regarding the main theme of the project – man’s traces in nature. The beginning of the project and the decisions taken along the way are described, as well as how the project has evolved from initially a being a study of the art of photography to its present form with an intention to invoke thoughts concerning man’s impact on the environment.
