Cost of living are rising at the same time as society must adjust to achieve the 17 global goals for asustainable development by the year 2030. To meet the challenges, houses need to be built sustainable andsurface efficient. Houses need to be built sustainable and surface efficient to be able to meet the challenges.The purpose of this report is to examine a proposal for a quiet residential area there sharing economy has ahuge part of the area's ecological, social, and economic sustainability development. The result of the reportare based on a quantitative survey with the aim of examining what the need and demand looks like for asharing economy in the Swedish market. The survey examines which areas in the private homes and in thecommon areas that can be reduced and divided. An analysis of the answers gave an idea of how thesefunctions, services and needs can be arranged in a balanced way to create a good living environment.The functions/features that had greatest interest in sharing were gym, laundry room, workshop andgreenhouse. The biggest reason why people could imagine a sharing economy is that it leads to moreefficient use of resources, which contributes to sustainable homes. And also because of the lack of naturalresources and since it contributes to reduced housing costs.The four methods that are used in the report are analysis of surveys, comparison objects, trend surveys anddevelopment sketches. The result was a design proposal with two surface efficient type houses strategicallyplaced in a compact area of approximately two hectares. The concept of sight lines, envelopment, daylight,flexibility, movement, spatial organization and axiality are qualities that take place in the design. Thefunctions, services and needs that were requested in the survey have guided the design of the type house andarea. Sustainability and sharing economy feature the whole quiet residential area with common green areasfor social interaction and cultivation. In order to assume a sharing economy in the area, requests from thesurvey were distributed into three concepts: cultivation, activity and workshop. The concepts are distributedto special concept buildings that are common to the residents in the area. In total, there are eight conceptbuildings that are distributed over the area to be easily accessible from all homes
