Consisting of 14 students, the class of 1936 was the largest of the pre-war classes of the Onderstepoort Faculty. The photograph on which they appear is the customary comprehensive one with the Dean of the Faculty, Dr (Prof.) PJ du Toit, presiding. It is noteworthy that 3 of the students who feature in the photograph only qualified at the end of the following year, their names also appearing on the composite photograph of the 1937 graduates. Apparently the photograph was taken before the results of the final examinations were known.
