During the 1940's to the 1960s's, among the ideological confrontations and intellectual debates about the future of colonization and Africa a recurring theme arises as consensual : the artificiality of African boundaries. Used concurrently by authors from various backgrounds and political beliefs, this theme is at this time already a commonplace on the continent.
