Simultaneously reflecting and transmitting reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (STAR-RIS) has recently emerged as prominent technology that exploits the transmissive property of RIS to mitigate the half-space coverage limitation of conventional RIS operating on millimeter-wave (mmWave).
