The original German edition of Carnap's Logical Syntax of Language was published in 1934, and an augmented English edition appeared in 1937. After that initial interest, for a long time it did not receive the attention it deserved. Only in the 1980s, due to the renewed interest for logical empiricism and the history of analytical philosophy, interest in the logical, philosophical and historical issues raised by Carnap's book was rekindled. To date no monograph or collection dealing systematically with the Logical Syntax 'in the round' has been available.
