The concern of this chapter is the pedagogical value of technology-based improvisation in University music programmes. In essence the chapter is a call to remember the pedagogical imperatives and values of improvisation in music education in the light of the impact of advanced technocratic trends in education and changes in student competencies and kinds of literacy related to technology
