Building on the notion of intersectional borderings, this book examines how discourses and policies target and exclude migrants and their families in Europe and beyond along racial, gender and sexuality lines. This is observed through specific normative constructions of family, gender and sexuality, and how these exclusions are experienced and resisted by migrants and their families. The book brings together various conceptual and methodological approaches from political and social sciences, to develop three lines of analysis. First, it examines how political movements develop exclusionary discourses that connect migration with gender, sexuality and family constructions.
