International audienceMetropolitan areas and more specifically global cities are undergoing accelerated dynamics of social, economic or environmental evolutions which call for the establishment of observation facilities, new visualization techniques and new methodologies for linking basic data with different geometries or temporalities. Within the framework of the Local Territorial Information Axis (International College of Territorial Sciences), the “Major metropolises” project has been initiated in order to further explore these issues.
