Possibilities of communication with people with dementia syndrom. Reflection and support of workers' skills

anglicky This diploma thesis deals with the topic of communication with people suffering from dementia. Dementia is a syndrome caused by a progressive brain disease in which cognitive functions deteriorate, such as memory, thinking and orientation. The aim of the work is to find out how workers communicate with clients with dementia and whether they have sufficient support and space from their employer. The theoretical part will specify the dementia syndrome, describe its causes and impact on humans, there will be described approaches and ways of working with this target group. The research will take place in a mixed form, where one part will take place through interviews with workers and the other in the form of anonymous questionnaires
