Generation Protest of Italian Writers at the Turn of the Twentieth and Twenty-first centuries The aim of this thesis is an analysis of the generational protest in Italian prose at the turn of the millennium. The thesis examines the works Compleanno dell'iguana (1991) by Silvia Ballestra, Bla bla bla (1997) by Giuseppe Culicchia, Fango (1996) by Niccolò Ammaniti and Superwoobinda (1998) by Aldo Nove, in which the a touch on topics fundamental to modern society.
