Teachers' organizations as actors in educational policy

The bachelor thesis deals with teachers, teachers' organizations and their involvement in educational policy and in the creation of educational policy. Teachers are a very important actor in education policy, they are the actor on whom the success of a policy depends. Due to their importance in education policy and the whole education system, there is paid very little attention to them by researchers, and this work could begin to change and bring new ideas for further research of the teaching community. The aim of this work is to identify topics that are important for teachers' organizations representing teachers in policy-making, and describe their attitudes towards them. Another goal is to identify and describe the functioning of teachers' organizations in education policy and what role they often play in policy-making. Methodologically, the work has a mixed research design, but for the most part it is qualitative research. For meeting of goals were used methods of document content analysis and semi- structured interviews with representatives of the surveyed organizations.
