Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with Diagnosis peripheral facialis palsy

Author: David Leszkow Title: Case study of physiotherapy care for patient diagnosed with peripheral facial palsy. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to write down theoretical basis related to the diagnosis of peripheral facial palsy. The second part of this thesis is case study of one patient with Bell's palsy. Methods: Soft tissue techniques, Jebavá's approach, Kenny's method, Kabat's method. Results: Patient's right facial side muscular strength improved and at the same time resting facial expressions were restored. There was an increase in the resting muscle tone of the right side, thus removing the lagophthalmos and the sagging corner of the mouth. Conclusion: Thanks to the use of the above methods, the patient was rehabilitated to almost full muscle strength and functionality of the right side of the face, at the rest and also with active muscle involvement.
