Title: Case report of a patient after fracture of the distal radius Author: Michaela Richtrová Aim: A comprehensive view on the issue of distal radius fractures, a summary of theoretical and practical knowledge, the design therapy and monitoring therapeutic outcomes - rehabilitation plan for a patient with fractures of the distal radius. Methods: This work was a search of case studies in the professional practice held from January 24, 2011 to February 18, 2011 at Malvazinky Rehabilitation Clinic in Prague. The work is divided into two parts, general and special. General section summarizes the theoretical knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology forearm, hand and wrist, upper extremity trauma - a description of fractures and their healing, diagnosis and treatment. Based on this general knowledge is also dedicated to the classification of fractures of the distal radius, their clinical symptoms, conservative and surgical approaches and a description of rehabilitation treatment options. A special section is devoted to case report of a patient after distal radius fracture, the rehabilitation, the results and effects of therapy. Key words: wrist fractures, distal radius, physiotherap
