Monasteries of the Order of the Servants of Mary in Prague

This thesis deals with the problematics concerning the monasteries of the Order of the Servants of Mary in Prague, particularly during the years of 1360-1786. The focus of this work lies in the history of three servite monasteries in Prague. This work deals with both characteristics of the order and the particular events that marked its destiny. The main goal is to bring to light the development of the Order's environment until its suppression under Josef II. It next describes the fate of the monastery buildings, which today still stand as a testament of the Order's influence
