The aim of this master thesis is to compare the status of marriage and registered partnerships across branches of law. The purpose of such comparison was to find out whether it is equal or unequal status and indicate any shortcomings of the legislation in this regard. The thesis is divided into five chapters, each dedicated to a different area of comparison or outlining future legal developments regarding this issue.
