Educational reproduction

The bachelor thesis called "Educational reproduction: Does the social position of parents influence their children's education?" aims at the influence of social status of parents on their children's education. It is divided into four main chapters which describe the educational reproduction from three perspectives - education, school system and family. At the beginning of each chapter, the key terms are explained. The first part called "Education" explains the meaning and development of this conception as well as the problem of educational inequalities. In the second part, the school system in the Czech Republic and the inequalities are discussed. The third part "Family" deals with social differences between families and describes how these differences influence behavior. The last part "Educational reproduction in the Czech society" presents two examples of researches made in the Czech Republic
