Psychosocial context of care for person with dementia in the family

My diploma thesis is focused on problematic of care giving for persons with dementia in their home environment. This thesis could also provide useful advice for caregivers, show communication options with patients affected by dementia, and suggest how to avoid uncomfortable situations. Additionally the work is aiming to list the options of maintaining maximal comfort and well-being of persons with dementia. The comfort of caring person is also important, and is addressed by this work. Gathered knowledge leads to better understanding of way of life of the caregiver as well as person with dementia. The conclusion of theoretical part is mapping the topics such as burn-out syndrome or activization and offers the options where to find useful advice. Empirical part of this thesis summarizes with whom the person with dementia shares the household and whether caregivers notice the changes in behavior of person with dementia
