Petr Pleva On-line communities Abstract The bachelor's thesis "On-line communities" deals with the topic of online communities and software that they use. The aim of this work is to reveal regularities in the development of these communities and find the influence of software on their lives. First, I deal with the term "online community" and its definition over the years. Based on the chosen literature the work identifies key elements of life of online communities. I highlight the purpose of emerging communities and the importance of technical platforms they use.
