Comprehansive rehabilitation of children and youth with multiple disabilities

The theoretical background of the diploma thesis discusses the comprehensive rehabilitation of children and youth with multiple disabilities in the Czech Republic with regard to the pedagogical and social aspects of the comprehensive rehabilitation. The phenomenon of multiple disabilities, possibilities for education of children and youth with multiple disabilities and the system of social services for this target group are presented here. The methods for supporting children and youth with multiple disabilities (basic stimulation, physiotherapy, animal assisted therapy, music therapy) are characterised. The research carried out in a chosen institution employed the following research methods: in-depth interviews with social workers, document analysis and observation. The research focused on the realization of the methods for supporting clients of the institution.
