Analysis of book collection of Historical cabinet, Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague

The thesis analyzes Historical cabinet. This library is a subject Library of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University. Its main purpose is lending books to the students and professors of the Faculty of Arts, but also engages in other library projects (eg. Ask the library). The core of the library is formed from the 80's of the ninetheen century. The thesis uses inventory books, incremental lists and archive sources and analyses individual collections of Historical cabinet. It also focuses on old prints that are included in the Fund. In this context, the thesis also examines Exlibris and other provenance characters that have appeared on the old books. Likewise focuses on donations, as they constitute up to 35% of the entire Fund.
