Divine Omnipotence and Human Impotence The thesis deals with the themes of divine omnipotence and human suffering and their relation in the book of Job. Besides providing general definitions, the author presents both themes on selected texts. She arrives at the following conclusion: divine omnipotence and human suffering are interrelated, without human suffering ever limiting the former or excluding it. Human suffering is finally viewed in the wider context of God's plan with the world. Keywords Power, strength, justice, wisdom, suffering, mercy, faith
