Family memories of dr. Vlastislav Zátka Editorial processing and Studies

The presented dissertation deals with Family Memoirs of Vlastislav Zátka and editorial work with the text. At the same time, it presents a contemporary approach to the issue of ego documents. The work consists of three parts. The first part deals with ego documents, their typology; it explores perception of ego documents and discusses editorial work with this type of sources. The second part focuses on Zátka family memoirs, their analysis and circumstances of their composition. It presents the person of the author and his life as well as his background. The third part is devoted to the editorial work on the memoirs. The author finished his family memoirs in the early 1940s and describes the life of an important family based in South Bohemia between the late 1600s and the mid-1900s
