International audienceIn order to find an alternative to long perfluorinated chains in the elaboration of non-wetting surfaces with favorable bioaccumulative potential, we report the synthesis of an original 3,4-propylenedioxythiophene (ProDOT) derivative containing a short perfluorobutyl chain (C4F9) and its use for the elaboration of superhydrophobic surfaces containing both wrinkles and nanofibers by electropolymerization (deposition by cyclic voltammetry). The diameter of the nanofibers was about 150 nm while their length and the density of nanofibers as well as the presence of wrinkles can be controlled with the number of scans and the scan rate. These parameters are put in correlation with the adhesion of water and oil droplets
