Using a replicator dynamic, the theoretical prediction is for subjects to use a symmetric mixed strategy equilibrium, while the two asymmetric strict Nash equilibria become unstable. Two experimental treatments are used to observe the actions of subjects in one population with a random, pair-wise matching protocol. Previous work suggests that subjects are unable to learn in aggregate population dynamics. The data confirms that subjects are unable to coordinate on the mixed strategy Nash equilibrium as an Evolutionary Stable Strategy
