York Forest. An excellent stand of tulip poplar which seeded in naturally under black locust since 1908. This north slope was a cornfield in 1900. The gullies were sealed with brush in which black locust was planted. Two large seed trees of tulip poplar furnished the seed for this excellent young stand.
