This work presents the synthesis of an inclusive investigation about the presence of Prophetical Books of the Old Testament and of Apocalypse in five cantos of the Comedìa: Inferno XIX, Purgatorio XXIX, XXXII and XXXIII, and Paradiso XXV. This study identifies and describes Dante´s method of combining and reutilizing Biblical models; it demonstrates how medieval and patristic comments of Scriptural Books (especially of Apocalypse and Song of Songs), along with their illuminations, have deeply influenced Dante the poet.
