The study's main aim is to examine the opportunities and challenges of Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT), focusing on the students of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University during COVID-19 pandemic. In order to conduct the study, an ex-post facto design of the quantitative research method was employed. Data were collected through a survey from 120 students and 15 teachers. For that, an instrument was developed to collect the responses related to face-to-face learning and online learning. The results reveal various technological, pedagogical, and social challenges.
