Background: Persistent pulmonary hypertension of the new born (PPHN) associated with neurological injury later in life and this can be prevented by early detection and management. Early detection of PPHN is of utmost importance, especially in our country where the data available is very less and we cannot rely on the studies of developed countries due to the differences in the profiles of these neonates. This early detection requires knowledge of the risk due to associated factors.
