Diazepam is a benzodiazepine derivative that is commonly used for its sedative and anxiolytic activities. The liver plays a major role in the metabolism of this drug. By using the experimental animals, female white mice aged 2-3 months were divided into four groups. Each group contains three mice. The first group (the control) was given distilled water for four weeks.
