The aim of this thesis was to study the mechanisms of deformation of the sedimentary cover overlying the Belledonne, Grandes Rousses and Pelvoux crystalline massifs. The work relies on the study of deformation markers as folds, cleavage, fracture, faults and deformed fossils, which allows to evaluate the finite values of the deformation and to understand the kinematics of alpine deformations. The finite deformation is depicted as a succession of tectonic episodes in the context of thrust movements being constrained by inherited structures.
