The atmospheric aerosol has an impact together on the environment because of its direct and indirect effects on radiation and on human beings because of its toxicity. However its physical and chemical properties are not well known. This thesis had two main goals. First, to monitor the aerosol soluble fraction (mineral and organic) in an ice core from Mont-Blanc and on the filters from 6 European sites with various geographic and climatic features (wihch belong to the CARBOSOL project). These measurements have shown the main role of convection in the aerosol transport (particularly for sulphate) from atmospheric lower layers to free troposphere.
