Fluorescence diffuse optical imaging is an emerging diagnostic tool for localization and quantification of fluorescent probes in biological tissues. Time-resolved approaches are one of these techniques. An incident impulse of excitation light is sent to the medium and its temporal distribution is measured at the detection point. In this context, this thesis work deals with the study of light propagation models within the diffusion approximation.
