URL: http://www-spht.cea.fr/articles/T93/014International audienceWe explore various chiral lagrangians in which the QCD scale anomaly is implemented by introducing a dilaton field representing the gluon condensate. The lagrangians are used to study the chiral phase transition and the propagators of both scalar and vector mesons in dense baryonic matter. A hybrid model is proposed which allows an unambiguous definition of meson masses and coupling constants in dense matter. Meson masses are calculated as a function of density
