A superconducting linac capable of accelerating 5-mA deuterons up to 40 MeV is used to bombard both thick and thin targets. These primary beams will be used for the RIB production by several reaction mechanisms (fusion, fission, etc.) The production of high intensity RIB will be based on fission of uranium target induced by neutrons.
