Formaldehyde is an ubiquitous indoor air pollutant, known to be carcinogenic to humans. Numerous methods of detectionhave been developed for various applications such as the protection of directly exposed workers at workplace or the controlof the emission of construction materials (wood, insulation foams, and resins). However, the quantification of formaldehydelevel is far from being easy in comparison with the other indoor air pollutants because of its low concentration (1-100 ppb)and the presence of many chemical interferents.
